Wackrow Memorial Youth Award

Nominations are open!

The Wackrow Memorial Youth Award was established in 1987.  The Award is in memory of the late Constable Graeme Wackrow, who was killed in a car accident while serving with the New Zealand Police while stationed in Dannevirke.

The Award recognises outstanding community service and contribution to the community by young people in the North Ward of the Tararua District.

Nominations closed 2 August 2024.

Three nominations were received. However, the guidelines for the Wackrow Memorial Youth Award require more than three nominations for the Awards to go ahead.  Due to insufficient number of nominations being received, the Awards were cancelled for the 2024 year.
