Mount Munro Windfarm - Meridian Energy
Meridian Energy Limited (Meridian) has lodged Resource Consent applications to construct, operate and maintain a new wind farm on Mount Munro, located approximately 5km south of Eketāhuna (Mt Munro Project).
The Resource Consent applications have been lodged with the Manawatū-Whanganui Regional Council (Horizons Regional Council), Greater Wellington Regional Council, Tararua District Council, and Masterton District Council (collectively referred to as the ‘Councils’).
Meridian Energy Limited have also requested for the application relating to resource consent to be determined by the Environment Court and this was approved by the Councils on 1st November 2023.
Manawatū-Whanganui Regional Council (Horizons Regional Council) are the lead Council on this application. All resource consent information that relates to the application for submitters on the direct referral process is available at the Manawatū-Whanganui Regional Council (Horizons Regional Council) website link.
Submissions close at 4.45pm on 6th December 2023.
