Applications now OPEN for District-Wide Contestable Fund
Applications will close on 7 February 2025
Applications for the District-wide Contestable Fund are now open! The fund has been established to provide local groups and individuals the opportunity to bring their ideas to life and make a lasting impact in our communities. The Contestable Fund, amounting to $100,000 annually, will support requests that contribute to a connected and thriving district.
The Contestable Fund is open to not-for-profit groups, organisations, and individuals operating within the Tararua District. Whether you’re a local community group, sports club, cultural organisation, volunteer network, or an individual with a project that benefits the district, you’re encouraged to apply. This includes individuals seeking funding for international representation, provided their project meets the fund’s criteria.
Projects must demonstrate clear community benefits and meet the criteria outlined on our website. Detailed information about the fund - including eligibility requirements, application guidelines and FAQ - can be found at www.tararuadc.govt.nz/grants.
