TDC 2025 Photography Competition

This year the competition is named “Weathering wonderfully” – This is all about the sights of our district as a result of what the weather is doing or what it has just done. It is also about how long exposure to the weather leaves its mark on our landscape, buildings and oddities throughout our district.  This theme can be interpreted in a variety of ways:

It could be a shot of crazy patterns on a frozen lake, or perhaps something that the weather has had an effect on, such as a gnarly windswept tree bent horizontally by decades of prevailing winds, or perhaps something material that has been left in the wild but is still with us and looking graceful as mother nature throws her best (and worst) at it in order to, one day, return it to the earth. It could be that 1930's car in a paddock with a tree growing out of its bonnet.

We're now in spring and over the course of the competition entry period we will see the rest of spring and all of the summer, autumn and winter months.  You can submit up to 4 great photos, one for each season would be awesome but any shots of the district in, or after any weather, and in any season will all be great entries!

Entry leagues are Adult, Primary/Intermediate and Secondary.  Sub-categories are:

• Best artistic effect
• Best mobile phone image
• Best black and white image
• May 2024 Southern Lights*
