Seeking your views on the draft Waste Management & Minimisation Plan

The Waste Management and Minimisation Plan sets out Council’s plans to minimise and manage the waste in our district. It is a requirement of the Waste Minimisation Act 2008 to adopt a Waste Management and Minimisation Plan, and to review this plan at least every six years.

The draft Plan sets the priorities and strategic framework for managing waste in the Tararua District. We are keen to hear your views on the draft Plan.

You can pick up a copy of the statement of proposal, draft Waste Management and Minimisation Plan, a submission form and a copy of the Waste Assessment from any of Council’s libraries or customer service centres or down­load from our website at: www.tararuadc.govt.nz/WMMP Submission period is from 18 July to 18 August 2024.
