Long Term Plan adoption postponed by a week
31 July 2024
The adoption of the Tararua District 2024-2025 Long-Term Plan has been postponed by one week. This delay is due to Audit NZ’s identification of some changes that need to be made in the Long-Term Plan.
As a result, the Auditors are unable to complete their audit opinion by the originally planned adoption date of July 31st. Council now will adopt the Long-Term Plan on August 7th, 2024.
Additionally, this adjustment means that the Fees and Charges for the 2024/2025 fiscal year will come into effect on the 8th of August 2024.
The Long-Term Plan has followed a rigorous audit process, and this revision is expected to result in an even more robust Long-Term Plan for the Tararua District.
Long-Term Plans are independently audited to ensure they meet statutory requirements and are based on high-quality information and sound assumptions.
