The Tararua District was represented in Invercargill on Friday 16 August at the Civil Contractors NZ Hirepool Construction Excellence Awards. The awards have been going since 1978 and represent the pinnacle achievements of New Zealand’s civil construction industry.

The Tararua Alliance was one of six finalists in the Maintenance Contract category. The winners were announced at an awards ceremony as part of the CCNZ annual conference on – at the time of going to print we don’t know how the Tararua Alliance got on, but regardless of the outcome, to be on the national stage next to some top-class entries from across the country is something our community can be proud of.
