Rates setting, and rates invoices delayed

The Long Term Plan was adopted a week later than expected – on the 8th of August – this has had a knock-on effect to the setting of rates and sending out the first rates invoices. Council originally planned to mail and email out the rates invoices on the 14th of August.

Unfortunately, this has proven to be unfeasible. The rates notices will now be mailed and emailed out on the 21st of August. The first instalment is due on 13 September 2024.

Due to the delay in adoption of the LTP the penalty date was also extended out until 17th of September. Direct debit and other calculations will also be adjusted to reflect the later date of setting the rates.

Your mock rates invoice which was sent out in May as part of our consultation will give you a good indication of what your final rates will be in 2024/2025.

Rates info for your properties will be online on our website soon, after our rates invoices are issued.

Instalments for the 24/25 financial year will be due on the following dates:

Instalment one: 13 September 2024

Instalment two: 30 November 2024

Instalment three: 28 February 2025

Instalment four: 31 May 2025
