We would like to be clear that the Woodville campground will remain open during the Christmas holidays. There are options available to keep the campground open, which are currently being explored by Council. These options were also discussed prior to the announcement being made, however due to incorrect internal procedures, the campground closing announcement was released in error. We will be making improvements to ensure this doesn’t happen again.  

We would like to thank the community for the strong messages that were communicated to us following the announcement. The Tararua District Council takes the voice of the community very seriously to identify areas of improvement and the actions needed to address them.
