Eketahuna Precautionary Boil Water Notice Lifted

This notice was put in place on the 17th of May 2022 as a precautionary measure due to the increased turbidity of water from the Makakahi River, and the inability of the water treatment plant to treat water to NZ Drinking Water Standards requirements.

Testing has been completed and no E.coli has been detected. Good progress has been made on the water treatment plant upgrade in recent weeks, with improved treatment processes now up and running. We apologise for the inconvenience this boil water notice has caused and thank you for your ongoing patience.
