11 June: Update on Eketāhuna’s precautionary Boil Water Notice

Eketāhuna’s precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in place at the present time even though you will have noticed an improvement in your water.

The upgraded water treatment plant is now operational and your water is being treated and supplied from the upgraded plant which is performing as expected.  However, bad weather

is forecast over the next few days and we expect river flows and water turbidity levels to increase.  We expect that the upgraded plant will perform well and be able to treat the water effectively during this period.  If this expectation is met then the  upgraded plant will attain commissioned status and the precautionary

Boil Water Notice will be lifted at the same time. In the meantime we would like to remind you that a water tank is available to draw water from and is located behind the Fire Station.
