Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) has raised the fire danger level to High for the eastern part of our district, primarily due to increased wind activity last week.

Pahiatua and Eketāhuna remain at a low fire danger level, while the rest of the district is at a moderate level.

The fire season is still open across the entire district, but please refer to www.fireandemergency.nz before starting any fires.
