The Hinemoa Valley Road bridge is due for inspection as outlined in our bridge maintenance schedule. Following the inspection, we will undertake any remedial work that is identified.

To enable this work to be completed, scaffolding will be installed on and under the bridge this week, this should have minimal disruption to traffic.

There will be short periods when traffic in both directions will be stopped while workers are on the bridge carriageway. Stop/Go will be managing these conditions.

Time of Work:

Monday 1 November - Wednesday, 24 November

Stop/Go: 8.00am – 5pm Weekdays

There will be no weekend work. All traffic management signs will be removed.

Baines Hill bridge

Baines Hill bridge on Matamau-Ormondville Rd, Dannevirke has some major work coming up which will require a road closure and detours. While we aren’t sure what dates we will start this work, our planning is well underway and we would like to give our community a heads up.

You will have seen we have installed a speed hump at Baines bridge to reduce speeds onto the bridge deck until we can undertake these works.

We thank you in advance for your patience while we carry out these important projects and ask you allow extra time while travel during these dates. Emergency services and school bus transport have been notified.
