Landfills and Transfer Stations

All landfills and transfer stations closed on Christmas Day. Normal operating hours otherwise apply.

Animal Control

For assistance with lost, found or roaming dogs, please contact us on the normal Council phone numbers.

If your dog is impounded while we are closed, they may be released on case by case basis (if currently registered), please call council as our Afterhours service will be able to advise of process.

Land Information Memorandum (LIM)

As the year is winding down to a close, our processing dates for LIMs (Land Information Memorandum) will be different due to the Christmas and New Year break. Any LIM report requests received with payment from 10th December 2021 onwards will be completed after the New Year break. It takes 10 working days to process a LIM report.

Please note: No LIM processing will occur between 12 noon, Friday, 24 December 2021 until 8 am, Monday, 10 January 2022.

Dannevirke Service Centre Temporary Relocation

Please note: Due to earthquake strengthening works the Dannevirke Customer Services will be temporarily relocating from 26 Gordon Street to the Tararua Business Network on 40 Denmark Street from 20 December 2021 until further notice (Just across the road!).

From 18 January 2022, the Pahiatua Customer Services team will be moving into the Pahiatua Town Hall/Library until further notice.

There will be no disruptions to our service during this time.
